January 2016–June 2018

As a long-haul remote contractor at Facebook, I witnessed an ever-shifting landscape of teams, projects, offices, and management roll by over the course of 2.5 years.

I was charged with building tools for the global sales team, who used these tools to visualize large-scale ad performance, and present their findings to CMO types from their top 15-ish customers in the world.

The project’s success led it to be snatched up by a larger and fancier team, and I moved on to related tools aimed at small and medium businesses. This involved significantly more automation and number crunching, and fewer fancy visuals.

My secondary, unofficial job was that of amateur cultural anthropologist.
